Look for Products with Less Glitter and Shimmer

Look for Products with Less Glitter and Shimmer I’m not saying you should never wear shiny stuff, but when the weather starts to turn cool, it’s nice to lay off the bright summer shine you rocked at the pool and the beach. A subtle shimmer is just fine, but try to stay away from makeup that has big bits of glitter or that is super shiny.

2

Keep Using Products That Contain SPF

Keep Using Products That Contain SPF Just because you aren’t spending as much time outside doesn’t mean you should stop protecting your skin from sun damage. Make sure you still wear foundation with SPF in it as well as also wearing an SPF facial cream. This will offer protection from the sun when you’re driving or take a lunchtime stroll to see the leaves change. You can still get skin cancer in the winter, so it’s best to stay protected all year round.

Try Something a Bit Darker than You’re Used to

Try Something a Bit Darker than You’re Used to Pastel colors are awesome for spring and summer, but I like to go for darker colors in the fall and winter. If you usually go for lavender, try plum on your eyelids. If you generally wear pink blush, try a bronzer shade for something new and different. The start of fall is a great time to try something new, so give it a go this year!

UPD:

Embracing the autumn palette can be a refreshing change. Swap out your light eyeliners for rich browns or charcoal greys to define your eyes with a bolder statement. Experiment with matte lip colors in deep reds, burgundy, or even a daring blackberry to warm up your look as the temperature drops. For nails, consider chocolate, deep navy, or a sultry hunter green to stay on-trend. These small shifts in your makeup routine can make a big impact, reflecting the season's cozy and sophisticated vibe. Don’t shy away; let the rich, deep hues of fall inspire a stunning transformation.

Yikes! I cover pic looks like a doll's head! Scary!

Wish you included pic sources...

I use brown instead of black eyeliner it looks softer and less harsh

I have combination skin. Dry/oily/normal and I use a primer every time I put on make up to balance out all these dilemmas.

Unless you have try skin, then you don't really need primer. I only use primer when I want to smooth out pores (MUFE smoothing primer). I don't get oily in the winter so I don't reach for a matfying primer.

Use a makeup primer before applying any foundation.

Bronze lipstick, and gold eyeshadow look great together!

Another tip get lighter foundation since you skin will lose its summer glow.

I love bold eyebrows! I'm going to try the brown mascara, I think it's a great idea.
