1

Soft Colored Lips

You know how tanned or olive skin looks great with crimson lips? We don't ladies, so lay off the harsh and bold colored lips and go with sandy pinks, rosy pinks and soft apricots. Trust me, this is going to make your entire face look more beautiful and will really bring out those beautiful lips you have!

2

Cool Shades for Eyes

When you have pale skin, makeup tricks can be something as simple as finding the right shade for your eyes! Pale, natural colors actually look great on pale skin. Champagne, grays, soft pinks and even cool brown and grey hues all match well and will really make your eyes pop out!

3

Blush Options

When you have alabaster skin, blush is your best friend. Don't overdo it though ladies, just keep it natural! Pale pinks, soft peaches and even apricot are all great blush options and makeup tricks that work with your porcelain skin tone! If you do not know where to start, try NARS blush in Orgasm, its tender hue compliments all skin shades, including the palest ones.

4

Dark Mascara

Your eyes are where you can get really nutty with the colors and can even go a little darker. Dark mascara (blackest black is what I use) works best with fair skin because it is dramatic. Avoid plum, blue and even soft black mascaras – go all out and make those eyelashes pop! L'Oreal and Chanel make the best ones, just look for ultra black color.

5

Eye Liner is Key

I have to admit, I used to use liquid liner years ago, I have since slipped over to the pencil but what I read lately was that liquid is better for fairer skin. Not only will you be able to get a straighter line, but you can use all kinds of makeup tricks on your eyes, such as the cat eye. Liquid is the best for any eye makeup – but it will take some practice on your part.

Warm Colors

When you are porcelain skinned, there are a lot of colors that you can use but you want to keep it warm. Light pinks, soft honey and peaches are all colors that flatter us fair skinned chicks. Just keep it light and airy and you should look beautiful!

7

Colors to Avoid

As with every skin tone, there are colors that us alabaster girls should avoid. Bright, bright blues, pinks and browns around the eyes can drain us of all of the color we do have naturally in our cheeks. For blush options, make sure that you avoid anything too warm, especially when you are dealing with bronzer. You also might want to avoid using anything yellow-based, as it can truly wash you out.

8

Beware of Powder

Unfortunately, it's easy for your makeup to get that awkward cakey look if you use too much face powder. You might want to switch to a lighter and/or tinted moisturizer. Another great option is using a BB Cream. While they may not be the same as the face powder you know and love, they give you great coverage while keeping you from looking to made up. Another option, if you want to stick with powder, is to experiment with different powders, colors, and amounts to find the best look for you.

9

Bronzer

You love your pale skin, I know, so don't think this is to make you tan or anything like that. Bronzer adds a natural looking glow that can warm up your face if you use it properly. Using a shimmery bronzer that is only a few shades darker than your natural color on your cheeks, cheek bones, brow bones, temples, and lips will add some great tones to your skin. I would also suggest using blush with the bronzer to even it out, just be sure not to use too much! We don't need you turning orange.

10

Make a Splash

Sure, for the everyday, lighter and neutral colors look great with pale skin. You know what else is great? The fact that things that pass as the everyday for other skin tones make a splash on fair skin. If you're going for a night out, use red lipstick. If it's something you're not sure about try Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in Standout. It's affordable, easy to use, and best of all blue-based red that looks amazing with fair complexions.

11

Enhance the Brow

This is especially true for pale women with light hair! Take the time to fill in our eyebrows to make sure they don't get lost on your face. If you have darker eyebrows, fill them in if necessary, but if it's not necessary just enjoy the awesome contrast that you naturally have!

Finding the right makeup tricks that work best for your skin tone isn't easy. Trust me, it took me forever to find make up that works for me and that I feel comfortable in! What makeup tricks do you ladies use? Even if you aren't fair-skinned, let me know!

Where Thoughts and Opinions Converge

Lad, you're really missing out on the loud lip.

I disagree with the soft colored lips. Marilyn Monroe wore red lips and she was pale (in fact, she was quoted saying that tanning was unattractive). Bold lips are an edgy pop on pale skin and really put the focus on lips. Soft colors might just blend right in or wash out pale skin.

WRONG!!! If you have confidence you can rock pretty much any lipcolor you want!!!! Bold fuschia and red look AMAZING on FAIR skin!!

yeah, none of this is really acounting for tone. 'pale' is a very general term. I am a warmer pale girl, and I rock the red lips all the time. I mean, Gwen Stefani is always doing the pale with red and she looks fab! Don't listen to this, ladies! blues and reds can work on anyone, you just gotta do it right

I can NEVER find a makeup foundation or even a CONCEALER that is light enough... Does anyone know where i could find a lighter base? (brand, stores, whatever. i'm depsperate...) All of the brands that used to have my shade discontinued it... Not enough buyers, i guess... Anyway, I'm usually about 2 shades lighter than the lightest shade of any brand. Help!

#4 one is the best for me.......... i love black and it look best on my eyes. my skin is oily pale so please suggest me some more tips for summers especially as in summer it becomes much difficult for me to have makeup for long.

Yeahh, I love red lipsticks, but if I put on some I'll tend to look like Snow White; pale, pale, pale freckled -this is a new version, hohooh- skin, dark hair and red lips

Quite a few contradictions in this article... Stay away from bold lip colours but wear bright red lipstick?
