1

Eyelash Comb

hair, face, person, black and white, hairstyle, One way to make your eyelashes look longer and fuller is by using an eyelash comb. Personally, I like to use a comb twice during my makeup routine. First, I like to comb my lashes before I curl them with an eyelash curler so my lashes won’t get clumped together. Second, I always comb my eyelashes a few minutes after applying my mascara to get rid of any clumps and help spread my eyelashes out.

2

Eyelash Curler

eyebrow, face, hair, cheek, nose, A quick trick to help your lashes look longer and fuller is using an eyelash curler. Typically, I curl my lashes before applying mascara (never curl your eyelashes AFTER applying mascara since you run the risk of accidentally pulling out your eyelashes). However, for the days I’m feeling lazy or am just doing a quick errand and don’t want to apply mascara, I curl my lashes so they look longer as well make my eyes look bigger and more alert.

UPD:

When using an eyelash curler, be gentle to avoid damaging your lashes or eyelid. Begin at the base of your lashes and gently squeeze, holding for a few seconds. You can repeat this process moving along the length of your lashes to create a graceful, natural curl. For best results, pair a good-quality curler with a nourishing lash serum, as this combination can enhance your lashes' health and appearance even on days when you skip makeup completely. Remember, well-cared-for lashes are more likely to look naturally lush and long.

3

Excess is Waste

hair, black hair, face, hairstyle, nose, A lot of the times, especially during the first few uses of a new bottle of mascara, the mascara wand has an excess of mascara on it. Before applying any mascara on, wipe the wand to get rid of at least 80% of the product. Surprisingly, you don't need a lot of product on the wand to get full lashes. Instead, too much product on the wand will give a clumpy or messy application.

UPD:

Excessive use of mascara can lead to clumpy and uneven lashes, making them look shorter and less full. To avoid this, it is important to wipe off the excess mascara from the wand before applying it to your lashes. Doing this will ensure that you get the desired effect of long and full lashes without the clumps. When applying mascara, start at the base of the lashes and wiggle the wand as you move up to the tips of the lashes. This will help to separate them and give a more natural look. Lastly, make sure to apply several coats to get the fullest effect.

4

Wiggle Your Wand

hair, eyebrow, face, hairstyle, nose, I began seeing much better results with my lashes when I started wiggling my wand! I first learned this technique when watching a MAC makeup artist do my sister's makeup; she started at the root of the lashes, then wiggled the wand out toward the edges, instead of making one swift, forward motion. This made my sister’s lashes longer, fuller, and more curled! Since then, I refuse to do my mascara without wiggling my mascara wand!

5

Slow and Steady Wins the Race

eyebrow, hair, face, cheek, blue, In the morning especially, we’re all in a hurry or too tired to have the patience to apply mascara slowly. However, quickly running a wand through your lashes will result in a messy or clumped look. On the other hand, taking a few extra seconds to apply mascara slowly to make sure that all your lashes are being coated and none of them are sticking together will make your lashes look softer and cleaner.

Don’t Be in an Exclusive Relationship

hair, face, black hair, eyebrow, nose, Over the years you might have found a few different mascaras that you liked because they added length or volume to your lashes but not both. If you still haven’t found the right mascara that gives you all the results that you would like to see, don’t be scared to double up your mascara. Use a couple coats of your favorite mascara for lengthening and a couple more coats from your favorite mascara which adds volume.

UPD:

Layering different mascaras can act like a charm for achieving that va-va-voom effect. Just like layering skincare, mascara cocktailing opens up a world where each formula's strength complements the other. Start off with the lengthening mascara at the base of your lashes and sweep upwards. Then, while the first coat is still slightly tacky, apply the volumizing mascara on top. This method merges the best of both worlds, ensuring your lashes won’t only stand out, but they’ll also boast enviable thickness and length without the nuisance of clumping.

7

Tightlining

hair, face, black hair, eyebrow, person, Tightlining is the technique of applying eye liner (usually waterproof, pencil eye liner) to your upper waterline. This is done to give the appearance of a fuller lash line. When tightlining, use an eye liner that is the same color as your mascara. For example, many women with brown or blonde hair use brown mascara to have a more subtle look – in that case make sure you use a matching brown eye liner.

UPD:

When perfecting the tightlining technique, remember to gently pull up on your eyelid to expose the waterline. This can make the application process easier and more precise, ensuring a seamless line. Additionally, opt for a smudge-proof eyeliner to prevent the color from running and to maintain a clean, defined look throughout the day. If you want an even bolder appearance, consider applying a thin line along your lower waterline, but be careful not to overdo it to avoid a heavy, closed-off look.

8

Eye Liner

hair, face, black hair, eyebrow, hairstyle, Another trick to get a fuller looking lash line is by using eye liner on the lash line. Whether you use a small amount of eye liner to smudge along your lash line or go for a more dramatic look with a winged look, using eye liner on your lash line will fill in any sparse gaps between the lashes.

UPD:

Applying eye liner directly at the base of your eyelashes creates the illusion of density. For an everyday enhancement, choose a pencil liner for a softer definition, gently working it between the roots of your lashes. Those aiming for a bold statement can opt for a liquid liner, perfecting the art of the feline flick. It not only elongates the eye but also gives the impression of a lusher lash line. Smudge-proof and waterproof formulas ensure your effort stays put, drawing attention to your beautifully framed eyes throughout the day.

9

Primer

hair, face, nose, eyebrow, person, Applying an eyelash primer can make a huge difference in the appearance of your lashes! Primers look just like regular mascara, only they are a white or translucent liquid. Put on your eyelash primer before you put on your regular black mascara, then watch your eyelashes lengthen before your eyes!

10

Baby Powder

hair, face, person, black hair, woman, Baby powder is basically a thriftier version of eyelash primer. I LOVE eyelash primer, but, to be honest, I've used the baby powder trick many more times than I've applied an actual primer. Dip a Q-tip in baby powder, then run it gently over your eyelashes, with your eyes closed of course! You'll look a little bit scary at first, but don't worry because your mascara will cover it up completely! In the end, baby powder creates almost an identical effect as primer—longer, fuller lashes!

UPD:

Utilizing baby powder as a makeshift eyelash primer is a clever beauty hack that works wonders for achieving that va-va-voom volume without breaking the bank. After applying the baby powder, swipe on your favorite mascara to see the magic happen—your lashes will appear more voluminous and elongated. Just be cautious not to use too much powder to avoid clumping! For an extra lush look, apply a second coat of mascara once the first has partially dried, boosting your lashes to maximum flirtiness. This simple trick is a surefire way to amp up your eye game!

11

Be Picky

face, white, black, eyebrow, woman, In some ways, makeup is more important than all of your dresses, purses, and shoes! Makeup goes on your face, so it's the first thing people notice about you when they greet you. Because of this, you should probably be a little bit picky with your makeup! Don't hesitate to try on all of the mascaras in Sephora! Not every mascara is made equally, and you have to experiment to find the one perfect for you!

UPD:

Your face is your eternal accessory, hence choosing the right makeup is as crucial as curating your wardrobe. Believe it is worth spending that extra minute scrutinizing ingredients and applicators. Toss aside any notion of rushing through your makeup selection. Luxuriate in the experience, because darling, those lashes are the curtains to your beautiful eyes. Whether you’re batting them at a suitor or squinting at the sun, ensure they’re cloaked in the very best mascara your picky side chooses! Remember, it's not just makeup, it’s the confidence you wear on your sleeve—or in this case, your eyes.

12

Don't Sleep with Makeup

face, eyebrow, nose, eye, beauty, While once or twice won't hurt you, making a habit of sleeping in your mascara can cause your eyelashes to fall out over time. Your eyelashes are such delicate little beauties, they can't bare to be covered in old, clumpy mascara through the night. If you want to protect your lashes and keep them healthy, long, and thick, don't sleep in your makeup!

UPD:

Sleeping in your makeup can negatively affect more than just your lashes. It can lead to clogged pores, breakouts, and premature aging due to the makeup and environmental pollutants that build up on your skin throughout the day. It's crucial to give your skin a chance to breathe and repair itself overnight. Always remove your makeup with a gentle cleanser followed by a hydrating moisturizer to ensure you wake up with a refreshed and clear complexion, ready to take on a new day with confidence and radiant beauty.

13

Be Gentle

eyebrow, hair, face, nose, cheek, When you wash your face and remove your makeup, make sure you are always gentle. For the same reason that you shouldn't sleep in mascara too often, you should gently wash your eye makeup off each night. Otherwise your fragile lashes may fall off one by one, making your lash-line weaker each day!

UPD:

Gently massage your cleanser over your eyelids and under your eyes with soft, circular motions, using either your fingertips or a makeup removal pad. Be particularly cautious not to tug or scrub the delicate skin in these areas. It’s essential to avoid harsh rubbing, which can break your eyelashes and cause premature fine lines. A high-quality, oil-based remover can dissolve even waterproof makeup with ease, allowing you to maintain the health and fullness of your lashes without any harsh scrubbing. Remember, patience and tenderness with your lashes can go a long way!

14

Try a Growth Serum

hair, eyebrow, face, black hair, person, The best way to make your eyelashes look longer and fuller is to actually make them longer and fuller! Some people swear by their homemade hair growth serums for eyelashes! You may or may not have luck, but it certainly never hurts to try! hair, face, black hair, eyebrow, hairstyle, Just like great skin and healthy hair, growing long, luscious eyelashes begins with your diet. Btw, winged liners like shown in the picture only makes your lashes appear more voluminzed NOT longer. It actually make your lashes look a bit shorter! Seriously, just tight line your upper waterline if you want long looking lashes.. Thick liner on the lash line take away from the length greatly! Lol.

Whenever I tightline my eyes, the eyeliner always, always transfers to my lower lash line - even if I use a waterproof eyeliner! Does anyone have any tips or tricks on how to avoid this??

1. Coconut oil 2. Eyebrow comb or toothbrush 3. A good lengthening mascara 4. Go slow, up, and out 5. Use a voluminizing mascara

first I comb out my eye lashes, and then I heat my eyelash curler by blowing my hair dryer on it for a 3 to 5 seconds. then I curl them. I put some powder on my lashes (it can be make up, baby powder, or even baking powder, as long as it's powder!!) and Then I apply my mascara. super long lashes that touch my eyeglasses.

put your mascara on as normal and WHILE ITS WET dab as much baby powder onto your eyelash's as possible. I mean until its all over your cheeks. go mental! let this dry, and repeat THE WHOLE PROCESS, so mascara over talcum powder eyelash's, then while wet more powder... Leave them to dry and then add your final mascara layer.... AND THATS IT!

I don't need to make my eyelashes look longer. I was born with natural long eyelashes, when I put mascara on looks like my eyelashes are fake but not. The mascara I put on (Pumped up colassal) makes my eyelashes go up, and they curl too.
