Natural make up is such a winner, ladies, but if you’re not sure how to apply it, it can go horribly wrong. The trick is to enhance your own natural assets without overloading them, and while this doesn’t sound difficult, it’s often tricky to strike the balance between too little make up and way too much. I’ve put together a list of 7 steps to pulling off the natural look to help you girls achieve flawless faces.

Find a Good Primer
Makeup primer helps to prepare skin for foundation and the layers that go on top of it. It smoothes out your imperfections and provides an even canvas for your makeup. Primer helps to minimize blotchy , uneven foundation which will really get in the way of a beautiful natural look.
Well- Applied, Quality Foundation
If you do wear foundation – a lot of girls choose not to – and you’re going for the natural look, you want to make extra sure that it’s perfectly applied and that it matches your skin tone. The primer will help you achieve an even base coast, but girls you still need to check your face for streaks, lines and unblended patches.
Concealer
A well constructed natural look is all about flawless, dewy skin, and dark bags under your eyes will absolutely ruin that. Get a great concealer to eliminate these imperfections. Find one with a slightly yellow undertone – these tend to blend better and won’t give you alarming pale circles around your eyes.
Mascara to Match Your Colouring
So many girls make the mistake of buying a mascara that doesn’t suit them. While black is the most popular choice of mascara, it is by no means flattering on every face. If you’re blonde, for example, black is far too harsh for daytime wear. If you’re keen to create the natural look, opt for a delicious chocolatey, brown. It’ll emphasise your eyes without making you look overmade up.
The Right Eye Liner
As with mascara, it’s important that you choose an eyeliner that doesn’t appear too harsh. In almost every complexion, a red-brown pencil works the best. Again, black is too dramatic a look to be natural and is best reserved purely for nighttime looks.
A Subtle Illuminator
By subtle, girls, I mean not too sparkly. Some illuminators just cover your face in glitter and these are obviously no good if you’re keen to look natural. A sheer, sparkle-free illuminator will just define your bone structure in an understated way, and can even be dabbed on your eye lids for a luminous, wide-eyed effect.
Lip and Cheek Stain
Instead of a conventional powder blush, this fab, versatile product will give your both cheeks and lips a natural tint without sitting on the skin very obviously. While blush and rouge tends to highlight pores and cling to tiny facial hairs, sheer cheek stain goes on smoothly and gives the impression of colour that shines through from under the skin.
There we have it ladies: my list of 7 steps to pulling off the natural look without over or under doing the make up. Do you have anything to add, girls? Share your beauty secrets; I’d love to hear them!
