You'll Want to Highlight up Your Entire Face

eyebrow, face, cheek, nose, forehead, The first tip that I have is to highlight up your entire face. The reason is because you want it to be soft and airy. You do not want your makeup to be cakey, though, you've got to keep that in mind. With this particular makeup, the complexion prep is a must and you've really got to start out with a lightweight foundation. After that, you want to dust it off with some translucent powder and then you want to use as much highlighter as possible.

2

Next Step is to Smoke out Your Eyes

eyebrow, face, nose, eyelash, cheek, After you've done all that, you've got to move onto smoking up your eyes. No mermaid in the world is complete without a little smoke! You can use pinks, blues or even purples! It all depends on what you are looking for. Pick something that works for you! Purple is best for me.

3

Add a Bit of White Liner

eyebrow, face, hair, cheek, eyelash, No mermaid is complete without the white liner. Seriously, skip the black and go with white and wing it out. It won't work unless it is liquid, so keep that in mind. You also want to make sure that you stick on some lashes, so that will really bring out your beautiful eyes!

4

Ombre Some Blue Lips

face, blue, nose, lip, eyelash, Next up is your lips! Seriously, don't forget to ombre your lips in all of the different color blues. This will help pull the entire look together and it will look so cool! All you need to do is do some blue along the outside and then, toward the middle, top it off with some highlighter and also make it a little lighter and whiter.

5

Contour It up with Teal

face, eyebrow, hair, nose, blond, Yep, you read that right, you want to instead of nude colors, contour it up in teal all around your face. This will help really pull the look together. The key is making sure that you place the teal color wherever you would normally contour. That means your cheeks, hairline and even underneath your jaw. You also might want to apply some color to your eyes, nose and even your neck and shoulders.

Next, Layer That Teal with Pink

eyebrow, face, hair, nose, cheek, Now that you have the teal on, let's move onto adding in a little bit of pink! No, really, layer it right on top. This is what is going to make it look beautiful and really make it pop and come to life. Blush or pink eye shadow is going to work best!

7

The Scales

face, eyebrow, hair, nose, eyelash, Finally, let's talk about the scales. This is the hardest part, basically, you are going to take some fishnet, stretch it out over wherever you want the scales and then you are going to pat on whatever color you want the scales to be. White, glitter, whatever you want!
