2 Don’t Pump
When you pump the mascara wand up and down in the tube, all you do is push a bunch of air in there. When you try to put it on, you’ll wind up with bubbles or pockets that don’t have any mascara, which means an uneven application. 6 Use Warm Water
If your mascara gets a little clumpy or thick, soak it in a glass of warm water for a few minutes. That will help soften it so you can still apply it. However, when it gets to that point, it’s probably best to toss and buy yourself a new tube of mascara. That way you aren’t battling it every time you want to put it on.
7 Throw It Away
You might not realize it, but mascara has an expiration date. Beyond that date, you could be doing some real damage to your eyes by continuing to use it. If you’ve ever had an eye infection, I know you want to avoid ever having to deal with it again. So if it’s past it’s prime, spend a few dollars and get something new. And never share mascara either. It’s just as dangerous.
