1. Give Your Mascara Superpower

Do you love the look of long, thick eyelashes? Here’s a secret with loose powder that you can use to get that look. Powder both sides of your eyelashes with either your powder brush or a powder poof. Apply mascara to your lashes then give them a minute to dry. Coat them with powder a second time and follow up with a second coat of mascara. You’ll be amazed at the look you can achieve by adding powder to your mascara routine.

2. Make Lipstick Stay Put

Have you ever struggled with keeping your lipstick in place? It’s really frustrating, isn’t it? You can stop your lipstick from fading away as the hours go by. Give your lips a coating of powder before applying your lipstick. This gives the lipstick something more to hold onto than your bare lips.

3. Deal with Dirty Hair

No one likes the look of dirty hair. But what can you do if you don’t have time to wash and you’re out of your favorite dry shampoo? Use loose powder in place of dry shampoo. After all, most dry shampoos have somewhat of a powder base. Loose powder will absorb the oil in your hair and give you a fresh start in styling it.

4. Clean up Eyeshadow Fallout

Eyeshadow fallout can be an aggravation. Your complexion looks flawless thanks to your careful makeup application then you apply your eyeshadow and little particles of it rain down on your cheeks. For me, this seems to be an everyday battle no matter what brand I use or how much I tap the excess off of my eyeshadow brush. Loose powder is a lifesaver in this instance. A few sweeps of it can clean up any eyeshadow fallout left behind.

"Enhancing your beauty doesn't always mean going for the glossy look. More ladies now see the allure of a shine-free finish. With the right tools and techniques, you can also achieve a flawless, subtle glow. Learn how to master this trend by following these incredible matte makeup tutorials. Enhance your natural complexion without the unnecessary flash."

5. Prevent Chafing

This’s something not often talked about but a regular occurrence for many women. You sweat under your breasts, in the bend of your elbows or the bend of your knees. It may be an all the time issue for you or one you only experience when you work out. You can add a little bit of loose powder to those areas to absorb the sweat and prevent chafing. This tip can make a big difference.

6. Replace Your Foundation

Some days you’re just not feeling full makeup. You want to go bare minimum but still have a bit of coverage. Loose powder is the ticket here. It allows you to quickly swipe on a bit of coverage. This can be the perfect makeup choice on a day you’re spending by the pool or running some quick errands.

7. Deal with Acne

Loose powder is helpful in dealing with acne because it soaks up the excess oil that acne can cause. Add a bit of extra powder near any blemish you may have. Acne can quickly show through foundation and concealer because of the oil it produces. Loose powder stops that from occurring. You can use this tip on the body acne you have, also.

These’re 7 amazing things you can do with loose powder. What’s your favorite loose powder trick? I’d love to hear from you.

I think these are great tips from as far back as the 1950s maybe longer. And ladies don't forget to CLEAN your brushes. In some cases a simple cotton bud will do these job..

Apply your eyeshadow first, especially if you're using glitter or pigments. Clean up any fall out with a q-tip dipped in makeup remover or eye cream & then follow with foundation & concealer.
