5. Think about Trying a Powder Foundation if You Have Oily Skin

This tends to be my problem, but a good powder foundation can really help. The powder helps soak up a bit of the grease so you can get the flawless look you want. Be careful not to use too much though or you could wind up with it settling in the creases of your face instead.

6. Make Sure the Shade Matches Your Skin Tone

The point of foundation is to give you an even look that hides imperfections and makes you look fabulous. You need to test the colors (you can do this on the inside of your wrist) to find one that best matches the color of your face. This shade may change with the seasons, depending on how much sun you get and how dark your skin tone happens to be.

No matter how great the foundation happens to be, it’s not going to work for you if you don’t like how it’s used. If you prefer to use a makeup sponge to apply your foundation, but you buy a roller ball version, chances are you might quit using it altogether because you don’t like how it goes on. Taylor: Look up the ph level scale - your skin is 4.5-6 and milk is 12. That is horrible for your skin
