I never appreciated cosmetics and body care items until I was introduced to a whole line of Sephora products during a visit to France. I mean, I have seen these brands in the malls and department stores but I never paid particular attention because (1) I wasn’t interested in beauty or self care; (2) I was busy with work; and (3) I was lazy. But having two kids changed my perspective big time. I started taking care of myself more because I know I need to be healthier and prettier as I face the daily challenges of caring for two children plus my wonderful husband, who always encourages me to spend time with myself. It was he who introduced me to Sephora products and I think he now regrets it. Kidding! Here are seven products that I treasure right now:

Super Nourishing Lip Balm

I am very lazy when it comes to taking care of myself. For me, it takes a lot of effort to look extra beautiful. Then I met this lip balm and I haven't been away from it ever since because it makes me feel very sexy and feminine. This is one of those Sephora products that you need to bring with you anywhere you go.

Make up Forever Full Cover

I blame my teenage hormones for these acne scars, so it takes double effort to cover them up with a good concealer. This one does the trick for me. I love the matte finish and it looks really great in photos. It's as if there are no scars at all.

Dior Instant Cleansing Water

Why did this change the way I view cosmetics? Because this cleansing water makes it easier for me to remove make-up. I actually look forward to the times when I have to go clean faced because this product is quickly removes make-up without having to worry about harmful chemicals. It’s good for all types of skin!

Clinique Face Cream

I used to live in the Philippines where there is perpetual summer heat, and this face cream helped me through the searing heat of the great Mother Sun. Ladies, this should come with your bikinis when you go out to the beach!

L'Occitane Rose Bath and Shower Gel

I am a big fan of bath and shower gels. I love stacking them in my bathroom and then spending an hour or two mixing scents. I have a soft spot for roses when I get them as presents, so what could be better than when I can lather the scent on my skin? My best friend gave this to me as a gift during my baby shower. Wonderful, relaxing, comforting scent!

It's a pretty mascara because of its curved wand, which gives the best coat from root to tip. I always highlight my eyes when I go out and this one helps me emphasize my best assets as it adds more volume and pump to my lashes.

This is my go-to product when everything else fails. I get a massage once a week but when hectic work schedule, plus the twins' demands for food, attention, and cuddles pile up, I usually forego the weekly treatments. This one is my respite. It's my savior. It's my way of spending 10 to 15 minutes with myself even if my world goes crazy.
