1. False Eyelashes
The idyll 1970s look, when it comes to your eyes, is thick, glorious eyelashes. The best way to do that is with false eyelashes, of course. When you're out on the town, then bolder is better. You don't have even have to wear full falsies, but can instead apply individual lashes onto only part of your lash line.
2. Lots of Mascara
Some women simply don't like false eyelashes – or, like me, cannot put them on correctly to save their lives. That's no problem. You can still get the bold, long, curling look of falsies – as long as you're willing to layer it on to get it. If you put on several layers of mascara, then you'll be ready to head out to the disco in no time!

3. Thick Eyeliner
Eyeliner is also a big part of the '70s glam look. They wore it thick then and if you want to pull it off today, you have to wear it pretty thick now as well. Actually, you don't have to do anything too outlandish to pull off this look today. The cat's-eye look is necessary in '70s glam, and you'll see more eyeliner around the lower lashes as well.
4. Bold Eyeshadow
Here's where I have a problem with the '70s look, but with a modern twist it's not so bad. During the disco era, the rule for eyeshadow was pretty much the bolder, the better. There were lots of electric shades, and that's true now – but they're more modern. Blues, greens, even yellows, and plenty of golds, of course. Glitter spangled and brightly colored, it's not uncommon to see these bright colors tracing the lower lids as well.
5. Plenty of Bronzer
Tans were popular in the 1970s, because there was still an ozone layer. That's all right though, because today we have bronzer! And you should definitely use it. Give yourself a glow anytime you're going with a '70s style; it will actually complement all those bright colors quite beautifully.
6. Full Eyebrows
Full eyebrows are also a great look when you're going for 1970s style. Now, you don't have to go overboard. You don't want bushy eyebrows or anything like that. However, neither do you want them pencil thin. Something full but defined and beautifully shaped is all you need.
Full eyebrows were a popular trend in the 1970s, often seen on iconic celebrities like Farrah Fawcett and Brooke Shields. This look is achieved by filling in the brows with a pencil or powder to create a defined shape. It is important to not go too thin or too bushy, but to find a balance that enhances the natural shape of your brows. This trend has made a comeback in recent years, with many beauty influencers and celebrities embracing full eyebrows. It is a versatile look that can be dressed up or down and is suitable for all face shapes.
7. Frosty Lipstick
Finally, with most '70s trends this season, you'll see frosty shades of lipstick. Some of them are so light they're almost white. The point is that typically, the lipstick is more subdued than the eye makeup. The one exception to that rule is when you go with a bright, luscious pink, which is also appropriate for the glam look.
I love lots of other eras. The 1970s has never necessarily been one of them, but I think some of these looks could be really pretty. How about you, what do you think about the return of '70s glam?
