7 Eyeliner Colors You Should Try Today ...

By Eliza4 Comments

With so many eyeliner colors available, it’s totally fun to give them all a try. I tend to stick to my standby, which is dark grey eyeliner, but I’m starting to see how fun it would be to give something else a whirl. If you tend to stick to the same old make-up routine or you’re new to the product, give these eyeliner colors a spot in your repertoire. Don’t forget to let me know which ones work out best for you.

1 Black

Black is probably the most popular of the many eyeliner colors out there. It’s probably the one most girls tend to gravitate toward too. However, if you’ve never worn eyeliner and are working on your application technique, black is a great starter color. You can wear it with virtually any color of eye shadow and it’s readily available so you won’t have any trouble finding it at drugstores or make-up counters.

Frequently asked questions

2 Brown

If you want to branch out and try a new eyeliner color, brown is a great alternative to black. Again, it’s a neutral so you can pair it with most colors of eye shadow for a look you’ll love. There are many shades of brown available so you can give all of them a try to find the one you like best.

3 Gold

Gold eyeliner is perfect for darker skin tones. It lends just the right amount of glam and sparkle to your make-up routine without going overboard. Gold looks great on its own, but it also pairs well with browns, blues and greens when it comes to your eye shadow colors. Again, there are many shades of gold so it may take a bit of experimentation to find the one that looks best on you.

4 Green

From olive to jungle to forest green, there are lots of green eyeliners to choose from. Of course, not all of them will look good with all eye shadow colors, but you can always opt to wear the eyeliner alone. Most experts recommend against wearing green eyeliner if you have green eyes, but that doesn’t mean you can’t experiment around and see if you love the way it looks.

5 White

White eyeliner sounds strange, but the truth is that wearing white can really make you look wide awake and give your eyes the chance to pop. White is something you won’t necessarily slather on. Instead, try just a small bit under your eyes or in the corner of your eyes. You can combine it with a different color on your eyelid or skip it on your lids altogether.

6 Blue

Wearing blue eyeliner is trickier than the other colors out there. It doesn’t always look good with any eye shadow you choose so it takes a bit of practice to find what works best on your face. Blue eyeliner is one you’ll want to wear in small doses rather than in thick lines. It should be subtle rather than being the focal point of your make-up routine. With so many shades of blue on store shelves, you won’t be hard pressed to find the shade that you like best.

7 Silver

I like silver eyeliner because it’s neutral enough to go with many eye shadow colors and it won’t stand out so strongly. If you want to experiment with new colors, silver is a great one because you have a bit of freedom for applying it. It matches brown, blue, green and many other colors.
